In order to port my existing Telkom number, I need an invoice from Telkom showing the number that I want to be ported.
We have had our number for 40 years, yes the same number!
Being pensioners, about 15 years ago we changed our Telkom account to a Telkom Waya-Waya prepaid account.
Since then we have the line rental deducted annually. This puts our airtime into about R 220-00 debit. If we don't buy over R 220-00 airtime, the account is cancelled. otherwise, we buy airtime as needed throughout the year.
PROBLEM: WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ACCOUNT FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS!
It took me weeks to get an account number, and getting an invoice is impossible.
Doesn't anyone know who to contact at Telkom to get an invoice, or how to go about getting an invoice? Telkom and the Telkom Shop deny all knowledge of the process.
