Busy signing up a friend who has a Gmail acc but he did not receive the verification email. We waited 90 mins
So I used one I have

It was "email@example.com
Should be: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please send him an email then done

I have changed it. There was a ticket requesting the change from your friend. However, the email address he/she used was email@example.com, there was no 007 in it. Maybe this is why it did not go through.
The ticket asked me to change it to firstname.lastname@example.org which I have done.
Should it rather be changed to email@example.com ?
