Ported Telkom number not working

The ported Telkom number shows in the DID Manager panel, but if the number is called there is no response/ not available.

I tested the number on my side and the number rings, I did not receive a message stating the number is not with us. Please test the number and advise if the issue persists.

If I try dialling your ported telkom number now from a cellphone and it worked but from a telkom landline it did not so it looks as though the issue is with telkom's routing of that number. I have informed our porting department and they will follow up.

Hi, I'm changing from Cell C to Wirulink as my ISP. Wirulink will pre program the router that I am getting now, but they need all the SIP nr etc etc. Please be so kind as to forward me all the necessary details they would need to be able to pre program the router. Greetings, HJ MONTGOMERY.
I have now find out that my cordless telephones are NOT VoIP compatible. I want to cry!!! Will have to try and find compatible VoIP phone first.

I have a similar issue.. My phone was ported on Monday 4pm  from Telkom.

Could someone tell me how to get the phone installed correctly to receive calls,

We have a Yearlink phone.

Can we change our 087 number to our ported number to see if it is the new gigaset phone?

Any assistance please.

Hi, My number also shows in the DID Manager and I can make calls with the correct CallerID but when I try and phone it from my cellphone (MTN) the call just ends without my phone ringing. Can you please assist?

Hi.  I am having the same problem as the previous posters.  My ported number appears in the DID manager but it is not receiving calls. If you try to call it, the line is just dead (on the 011 312 4299 number).  It was ported over a month and half ago.  The ported number is 011-312 4299 and the Freshphone number is 087 095 7257.  A second number that was ported to Freshphone works perfectly.

My ported number did the same and we had to unplug from the router and then it worked for a few weeks.  Once again I made a call out but lo and behold I can no longer receive a call.

I have once again disconnected from my router but no joy.

I think we made a big mistake going this route.
