3 people have this question

maximum of Handsets for one BASE ?

Hi Cristinel,

You can register 5 handsets to a base, however, you can only make a maximum of 4 simultaneous calls per base.

I have followed all the steps above, but i cant make or receive any calls.

My Yealink portal keeps cycling between "registration failed" and registering. My device wont come online in the TMS Login.

Any assistance here?

Hi Jed,

Could your firewall be blocking the registration? Make sure you are not blocking the connection.

Then review the steps carefully as you may have mis-entered some of the fields. If you are using hardware previously in use by another provider, Factory reset the device as there may be some kind of configuration halting the new setup connection.

If after this you still experience any issues, please provide us with more information regarding your setup and infrastructure.

Thank you, yes, it suddenly started working but pleased with it.

Thanks for the assistance.

I would just like to confirm. If I have:

2 x Yealink W56P VoIP phones

1 x Base

Can both those phones be registered/setup to the same number? If someone phones me, both phones will ring and either one can be picked up to answer call?

Thank you in advance

Hi Harvene,

Yes, that is correct - you would need to set it up in that way for it to work.

You would need to add both handsets to the base, eg. H1 and H2.

The reorder the number assignment, so you can phone outbound and receive inbound on either one of the devices as seen below.

Hi Fresh Man,

Thank you for response!

Could I use both a Yealink W52P & Yealink W56P on same base with same number?

Hi Harvene

Yes you can. You might need to update the Firmware on the base if you are using a very old firmware

Just setup my first acct with zoiper to see if it will work and all is good. But then proceeded to hook up my grandstream 801 setup all settings, rebooted and found that on my dashboard the phone was offline =

status on grandstream - unregistered. how do I get the 2 to hookup? is there a go botton? -

have been through settings 3 times all looks good. Thx Len

have checked - modem firewall

Hi Len,

I hope you are well. Please can you send me screenshots of the set up page on the device.

Thank you.

I have a Yealink W52H with base and an additional handset. All set up. When I attempt to activate the account following your instructions above i complete the details by copying them from my Fresh account but when I hit confirm it indicates register failed

What could be the reason?

Hi William,

There could  be a multitude of reasons. Assuming you are inputting the credentials  correctly, the most likely cause is your router or your ISP. We have  noted registration issues with Afrihost and Cell C fibre using Netgear  and Dlink routers. Have you tried to turn off SIP ALG? if so please try it on with a :5060 after the registration server details.
