Liquid error: undefined method `name' for nil:NilClass
Hi Fresh Man
Please help, I have never been able to receive calls on my fresh phone, but I was able to make calls.
I was wiling to live withit this way because no one could help me fix it and my tickets are just closed as there is no support for the product.
However I am now not able to make calls out. The person I am calling answers, but I cannot hear them. They apparently can hear me.
I am at a loss because I cannot get the product to work at all.
Please help
Hi Louise
One way audio and being able to make calls but not receive calls is always the same thing at fault. It is your Security/Firewall on your router causing this problem. Have you tried using the system on a different internet connection?
Hi Freshman
No I have not, but you wont believe this. I was so desperate for the phone that I started calling using my headset, dialing from your web interface where I login to Fresh phone, then after I did that the phone miraculously started working.
But just the same way as it randomly stated working it will randomly stop working.
I made a number of successful calls, and now all of a sudden when I call, the phoen says path busy and It no longer works, it says path busy, any idea what that means? I did a speed test and the speed is great, what path is it talking about?
Thanks
Louise
It seems as if it will start working again if I login to the IP and then chnge the setting from IPV4 and 6 back to IPV 4 which says it requires a reboot, then I go back and change it back again to IPV4&6 which is the one it works on and then I will be able to make calls again, Weird...
Hi Louise
It will be any change you make to do a re-register again. Your phone will register for a few minutes and then the firewall blocks it again. Then you change something, it will register the phone again for a few minutes and then the firewall will block you again. Ensure that SIP ALG is disabled on your firewall/security on your router
Thanks Freshman, I have done that now, but the phone is not working because I lost the IP address that I was using to login with. when I press the base it now has a IPv 6 number that does not look like a normal IP
Any suggestions?
Hi Louise\
Change the phone back to IPv4
How do I do that?
I managed to get the phone back into IPV 4, by resetting the whole thing, base and handset, and now when I make a call it says Unkown Uri Scheme??
Hi Louise
You are not going to be able to log into it now unless you change your router to give out IPv6 addresses. You can do it via the handset in advanced settings, password will be the same as what you used to access the web interface
I see your account is registered to JsSip using WebRTC according to your registration in the portal. You are also forwarding to a cell phone number
That is correct, I am so proud of myslef, I am able to make calls again after much trial and error - lol, I learn something new everyday!
Just so we are on the same page, this is what I did, as much as I can remember at least....
1) reset the base and handset back to factory settings and did the whoel set up again
2) Then I realised my ISP changed my router to IPV4 and 6 and this must have been where some of the problems started.
3) Then I see that the phone was not "registered" - dont ask me how this happened - no idea. Anyway, followed the registration process via your web interface
4) I had to dial from here again to get the yealink phone to be able to dial out - also no idea why this is the case.
5) I am holing now that it is registered that it will keep allowing me to make calls.
6) Problem is, I still cannot receive calls. I went back to your original instructions and I see that "SIP" was always disabled on my Dlink Dir-825 router so I dont think that is the problem?
7) Any other suggestions on how to start receiving calls?
8) Or alternatively, since I am now such a fundi - maybe you want to give me a job - lol ;-)
Thanks
Louise
It's offline again, so your router must be blocking the traffic
Here is a previous post by someone that had the same router a few years back
my goodness, I dont know what happened now, on the web interface its now says registration failed, and all I did was try to append the port no 5060 to the sip server as suggested in the post above.
I have tried doing the registration process again but it didnt work.
I am at a loss?
I still feel like it is your router. Try reboot it quick and see if the phone registers. The fact that your phone does register, means that you don't have to play with any more settings on it. The fact that it registers and then de-registers has to do with your router
